National Aquaculture Development Authority of Sri Lanka together with the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economy organized the ' Jalajeevi Udanaya – 2018’ awards ceremony under the patronage of His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka with the participation of  Hon. Gamini Wijith Wijayamuni Zoysa, Minister of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economy,  Hon. Dilip Wedaarachchi, State Minister of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economy & Hon. Ameer Ali, Deputy Minister of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economy and held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall on 10^th October 2018.

Ministers and Members of Parliament and Provincial Councils, Secretary to the Ministry of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economy, Mr. N.P. Madawan Arachchi, Chairman NAQDA, officials of the Government Institutions, Ministry of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economy & NAQDA were also present.
