Livelihood Development Programme-Kurumegala District

NAQDA has planned to commenced 3300 projects under the Full pledged Household economy development programs for Samurdi & Low income families together with Samurdhi Department. Kurumegala District Livelihood Development Programme was commenced on 9th October 2021 with the participation of Hon. Johnston Fernando - Minister of Highways, Hon. Kanchana Wijesekera - State Minister of Ornamental Fish, Inland Fish & Prawn Farming, Fishery Harbour Development, Multi day Fishing Activities and Fish Exports, Members of Parliament, Mr. Jayantha Wijeratne – Chairman NAQDA and Government Officials. Under this programme, 1st installment funds released to 198 beneficiaries to commence ornamental fish farming, 30 beneficiaries to commence Improvement of ornamental Fish farms and 01 beneficiary to commence Pond fish farming.
