Newly appointed Director General of NAQDA assumes duties

Dr. (Mrs). J.M. Asoka, assumed duties as the new Director General of National Aquaculture Development Authority of Sri Lanka. Dr. (Mrs.) J.M. Asoka was graduated from the University of Kelaniya and has earned her Post Graduate and Ph.D also from the University of Kelaniya.

She started her carrier as an Aquculturist at Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in 1997 and she is the Director of Coastal Aquaculture Development Division of NAQDA before assuming duties as the Director General.  She has over 22 years of experience in this sector.
