Opening of the Sewanapitiya Aquaculture Development Centre,Polonnaruwa

The National Aquaculture Development Authority, widening its services to the people in Polonnaruwa.

North Central Province, by opening a new fish breeding centre at Sewanapitiya, Sewanapitiya Aquaculture Development Centre was ceremonially open by His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on 02 nd November 2019 with the participation of Mr. K.D.S. Ruwanchandra, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development and Mr. N.P. Madawan Arachchi Chairman NAQDA.

Mr. Nimal Chandraratne, Director General NAQDA, Mr. Thushara Danthanayarana, Resident Project Manager- Polonnaruwa, Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka, Officers of the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development, NAQDA were also present at this event.
